On 5 July 2021, Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Barbara Creecy issued a statement regarding the COVID-19, alert level 4 risk adjusted strategy tourism sector response measures and directions and highlighted that Hunting activities are allowed.

THE PERMIT BELOW IS ISSUED IN TERMS OF:

Disaster Management Act (57/2002): Directions Regarding Measures to Address, Prevent and Combat the Spread of COVID-19 Relating to the Biodiversity Sector- GG No. 44807, No. 673;
Form 7, Annexure A- Regulation 17(1)(a) & 17(4)(b)(i) of the Regulations Published On 27 June 2021 (Gazette No. 44772, Notice No. 564), Issued In Terms Of Section 27(2) of the Disaster Management Act, 2002;

Please complete the form below and press submit. The completed form will be sent to the Hunter and Land owner via email. Please take notice that the Hunter’s form needs to be signed by the Hunter him/herself as well as the Land Owner. This is required in order for the permit to serve as hunting permit (in terms of the Regulations above) and to serve as TRAVEL PERMIT that corresponds with Form 7, Annexure A.

Please note that the hunter is responsible for the necessary provincial hunting license as stipulated by the respective provinces in their ordinances. The hunter may transport the venison from the hunting destination to his / her home with the necessary consent document issued by the landowner.
