Stop the fires!

Wildfires destroy thousands of hectares of our farms each year. Last year, more than 1 million hectares – in the North West Province alone – were destroyed. The devastating impact this has on our farmers ranges from damage to water infrastructure and agricultural structures, to a dramatic shortage of feed for animals.

Meanwhile, arsonists often get off scot-free and are released on bail.

Saai is pushing for arson to be escalated to a more serious crime because arsonists must face serious consequences for their actions.
